This gorgeous dress that I totally fell in love with at first sight is from the Vera Wang Luxe gown collection from Spring 2015. I know you will love this dress as much as I did!
It is an ivory and nude ball gown with hand-appliqué Chantilly lace bodice and skirt accented by ruched tulle details and silk organza crescent technique.
This dress is actually very airy and light -- I was in it all day and felt light as a feather in it.
There are surprises all throughout the dress that really make it one of a kind. There are scattered bits of lace that cascade from the bodice throughout the skirt, and the skirt has ruched and shirred tulle. Made of hex tulle, which is a little more substantial and crisp than regular tulle, it gives the dress a lot more volume and flare. You don't need crinoline underneath -- the volume comes from the way the dress is bustled and tacked.
The dress has four different kinds of lace. The bodice has Chantilly lace as a base with corded lace appliqué on top of that. Little cut edges of the lace peek up over the neckline. Two additional types of lace, rose and chrysanthemum, shoot off from the bodice and float down the skirt, almost creating a peplum effect. Then you have hints of crescent embroidery popping out, starting at the top of the skirt. The flower lace detail on the train on the dress is absoutely gorgeous.
