Gorgeous Pronovias wedding dress that I absolutely loved wearing at a rooftop venue in Seattle on my wedding day this past August (2016). I felt so beautiful wearing this dress, with the lovely lace applique bodice and large, flowing, mermaid skirt – the perfect mix for a romantic wedding day. This dress will let you show off your curves while still looking classic. I have received so many compliments on this dress!
I purchased the dress new at a DC-area bridal store during a Pronovias trunk sale. It’s too sad to box up the dress and keep in storage forever, and I would love for another bride to get just as much happiness out of wearing this dress as I did. Please contact me if you have any questions at all about the dress details or pictures I've provided in the listing.
Description:
Strapless lace and tulle mermaid dress. Bodice is slightly dipped in the front with tiny ruching and gemstone appliqué details. The skirt is multiple layers of tulle with frills on the top layer for added volume and flare. Mid back with a zipper (which made getting in and out of the dress a snap); bodice hugs the body beautifully before expanding into the dramatic mermaid skirt above the knee.
The dress is relatively light and incredibly comfortable for the whole night considering the multiple layers of tulle and lining under the mermaid. It also has a lot of structure with a built in bustier with boning and a bra-like closure in the back that is three hooks wide. I wear a 32F bra and had no problems with fit - the smallest hook kept me and the dress in place. Rather than deal with bustling the train, I had the it altered to a shorter length that could be left out the whole time – just long enough that it gave the visual illusion of a train, while still allowing for easy movement. In the pictures you can see it made for a beautiful silhouette. I had no problem moving around and dancing all night, and by pulling up the sides of the bodice to the hips, I was able to sit fairly comfortably also.
