A Ron LoVece Original | Silk-Shantung | Venice Lace Buds Tucked in Roses | Romantic Detailing

I combed through every bridal magazine looking for the perfect dress. What stood out to about this gown was the soft, luxurious feel of the silk fabric & the unique color scheme. The ivory over blush is so faint it truly stands-out. The dress is so comfortable, coupled with the whimsical rose petal theme throughout, my search stopped with this LoVece design.

This unique gown is in excellent condition. It was immediately, professionally preserved & dry-cleaned, & then stored in an air-tight, sealed box. No discolorations, no rips, wear or tear of any kind. Regarding the gown's designer...

Accomplished bridal designer, Ron LoVece, widely recognized for the quality of his couture collections & also known for his soft touches of color & lace, designed this lovely ivory over blush silk-shantung bridal gown with Venise lace accents. He features a square neckline & the cap sleeves with his signature design of pink buds tucked in lace flowers.

This beautiful ball gown is adorned with lace appliqué on the bodice cascading down along the hemline. The full chapel length train & floor-length veil is also decorated with this matching lace detail. The gown will fit a 33½" bust & a 26" waist. Pale pink flower bud detail is also integrated into a crescent shaped headpiece.

Mr. LoVece began his career some 43 years ago upon graduation from FIT with bridal designer Christos, & through the years, made a significant impact with Alfred Angelo as an early designer for the Michelle Piccione Collection, with The Diamond Collection. He was also associated with the Justin Alexander collection, before he passed away in 2010. He offered his own line & company for 30 years, with couture collections widely praised for the quality of fabrication & also for the sophisticated yet soft design touches that identified each dress as a LoVece original.

Native to New York City, LoVece received his training at Manhattan's Fashion Institute of Technology & The Art Students League. His gowns have been worn by a number of American society brides & international celebrities, as well as being featured in major motion pictures, including Runaway Bride, in which Julia Roberts marries Richard Gere in a LoVece gown.

Ron LoVece is the recipient of BRIDE'S magazine's prestigious Iris Award for lifetime achievement in bridal design, & has gowns in the permanent collection of the Museum of New York & Chicago Historical Society. With a design philosophy to "execute opulence in a well balanced regal way, or simplicity, using romantic, feminine lines," LoVece's are described as "elegant, romantic & traditional with a contemporary swing."

This gown was originally worn once with love in September of 1996. Ron LoVece’s fashion forward design adds a modern flare to a traditional wedding dress style. LoVece employs unique techniques to achieve the bridal elegance that every woman wants, both then & now.

Finally, this Diamond Collection gown was purchased at The Ultimate Bride on Oak Street in Chicago, IL. Any bride will be unforgettable in this show stopping gown! Simply stunning!
