A truly stunning show-stopper, I knew this gown was the one when I put it on and every other woman in the bridal salon looked over. While this Oscar de la Renta dress is not for the bride looking for overtly sexy or daring silhouettes, it is for the bride seeking a timeless, elegant and classic gown that will wow your guests.
The gown is made of a silk organza overlayer covered in tea roses that grow in size as they approach the unique scalloped hem. Swarovski crystals, sequins and embroidered leaves nestle between the roses, literally causing the gown to glitter as it hits the light. The fabric is extraordinarily lightweight, especially considering how much detail there is on the dress, and twirls and drapes beautifully. The skirt is slightly longer in the back with a puddle train. A built-in corset with boning holds everything in securely.
I wore this gown with a ballgown-shaped petticoat, but you could also wear it with a smaller petticoat to achieve a slimmer A-line silhouette.
