Gorgeous a-line dress in organza fabric with an all over swiss dot style. Sweeping train cuts across the bottom front and back of the dress for a beautiful little something extra. Bust is ruched and sweetheart style. Though the dress has layers on the bottom it's surprisingly lightweight and never felt poofy or hard to move in. My seamstress built in a corset and cups (two separate pieces, both can be removed without harming the dress) so I never had to wear fuss with the fit or pull my dress up once. It stayed hugged to me without feeling constricting and was incredibly comfortable to wear. I was looking for a dress that would hug and flatter my torso then fall away from my lower half but at the same time not add volume to my lower section and this dress did just that! The style is incredibly versatile depending on how you accessorize it. I had a fall wedding so I wore it with a light peachy pink cardigan and a coordinating ivory sash that held together with an antique broach for a fall look that felt put together and formal without being too dressy. Our wedding was in a barn so I wanted to keep it classy but simple. This dress could just as easily be worn in a more formal setting or as casual as the beach.
Fit ~ I am 5'-3" and wanted the dress to cover my feet but not drag on the floor (I wore crochet lace Toms) so the measurement from the top of the zipper (that hit about the middle of my back) to the bottom hem is 45". The measurement from the top of the bust (highest point of the sweetheart neckline) to the bottom hem is 50". The waist measures 30" and the bust measures 35". There is some extra fabric that was saved from the hemming; I do not have an exact measurement of how much but this would be sent along with the dress in case it was needed for any personal touches, alterations, etc. For reference I have an athletic hourglass build, short torso, a bit of a butt. When I wore the dress I was a shirt size small, pants size 10/12, and dress size 4/6 (typical brand size for AE, Gap, Banana Republic).
